The mostly friendly Australian bird of the family Artamidae (not to be confused with the Corvidae of the European magpie) who uses this branch of cyberspace to express various comments and opinions from deep inside the Pacific Rim, bids you welcome...
I bet this is one hell of a sight to see. I was reading about this some time ago when I learned that this was actually a massive rock rather than a hill/mountain. The scene with the sun shinning on the top was almost surreal.
Glad you liked it. And yes it is a rock, not a mountain. I heard this song for the first time in years on the car radio and went looking for it.
My daughter’s in a local chapter of the National Children’s Choir. She came running in to the room upon hearing it, saying this was one of the songs she sings.
Seeing as the last post was about murderous Australian gangsters (and seeing the US mid-terms...)I thought I’d post something ‘calming’.
Very cool rock, magpie and love the song. Went looking for more on it. You might like these photos if you haven't seen them.
Welcome back from Japan if I haven't done so previously. Thanx for the soothing tune after our election. I've long since learned to live with the ebb and flow here, though.
Nice video Magpie

Cheers Kevin.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen those photos actually, so thanks for linking to them.
