The mostly friendly Australian bird of the family Artamidae (not to be confused with the Corvidae of the European magpie) who uses this branch of cyberspace to express various comments and opinions from deep inside the Pacific Rim, bids you welcome...
Yes she was Leather Tuscadero, sister to Pinky Tuscadero.
As an occasional actor I remember her more for an appearance in a series called Minder.
Silverfiddle,
Stubblin In is one of my all time favourites. I just love that clip of her singing it in duet with Chris Norman (of Smokie fame) - I think in Germany, where a lot of these classic clips were done.
Suzi Quatro is still very active. Was down our way most recently September 2009. Does a lot of festivals but when she comes to Australia it's just her. She has a huge fan base here.
Very gifted lady, plays the bass obviously but a few other instruments besides. And has a very direct warm personality, and is obviously incredibly smart.
Don't know so much about Jett or Hynde but I like them too.
she was on some segments of Happy Days right? Memories are sweet aren't they, enjoy yours today!
ReplyDeleteWow. We have something in common. Remember "Stumblin' In?"
ReplyDeleteSuzy Quatro, Joan Jett, Chrissie Hynde...
What ever happened to the tough, sexy chicks?
Sue,

Smokie was really big in Germany. Livin' Next Door to Alice was still being sung at every fest even when I was there in the late 90's.
ReplyDeleteshut up, I consider myself a tough sexy chick! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you are Sue, but can you sing "Devil Gate Drive"?
