Intercode Learning

A confluence of the two major football codes in Australia:

Australian Football League legend Nathan Buckley - former captain and future coach of Collingwood - demonstrating kicking skills to National Rugby League team The Melbourne Storm during a training session in January this year. The Storm won the premiership.

Today my wife recieved a thank you certificate from Nathan for participating in Australia's Biggest Pie Night, the fund raising event to help children with cancer. He is a patron of the organisation.
We met Nathan once. Impressive guy.

  1. He sounds like a true humanitarian. I saw an Australian football game here in Nashville. Brutal.

  2. Brutal? No.
    It's simply a contact sport.

Nashville huh? You must be musical.

  3. If you like off-key monotones. Nashville used to be called the Athens of the South. Over the years it transitioned into country music nation - hee-haw. I missed the movement because I was living in the desert west (AZ & CO) where I wish I still lived.
