Slight change
Due to posting issues I had to change the template for this blog. It's not quite as I had it or as I liked, but it functions better. Let me know if you have any probs.
My daughter and I have been following a very long series on the tube called "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" which seems quite accurate historically. The season finale in which Spartacus and Crixus just lead the slave/gladiator revolt against the house of Batiatus was pretty cool.
The bloody scenes are enhanced with computer graphics to the point of silliness, but other than that, it's an excellent show and portrayal of the times.
I've also been following a series called "The Tudors," the fairly accurate depiction of King Henry VIII. Man what a scumbag that guy was, but his interaction with the Catholic Church and his maneuvers against them with the subsequent creation of the Church of England is fascinating.
Oh yea! I'll be watching this.
